More Digi Layouts!

Another digital layout using Weeds and Wildflowers 'Discovering You' kit.

And one using a template (my first go at this) by Tracy Blankenship, and a kit by J Sprague (Echoes of Asia). The title is from Shabby Princess' Vintage Florals kit.

Daddy

Here's another digi layout. I've used Weeds and Wildflowers 'Discvovering You' kit and matching freebie paper. Its a bit of a scraplift from a LO by Ikeagoddess.

The 'Daddy' in the photo is in Malaysia at the moment and we're all missing him :(

Spring

Each week on UK Scrappers there is a weekly challenge. Here's my entry for this week.

It is a digital layout using papers and elements from Weeds and Wild Flowers 'Welcome Spring' kit plus Shabby Overlay from Shabby Princess' 'Vintage Florals' kit.

Little Boxes

This months challenge at Scrapaholics was to alter a little box. Its about 2 inches square.

Again I have used the crackle glaze technique and finished up the patterned papers I used for the tag book.

Inside I have attached an accordian album, so when you open the box it's full of photos. DD1 on one side, DD2 on the other.

I am finding making little things like this is becoming quite addictive!

My Tag Book

I made this tag book using Scrapaholics club's October kit which I bought last time as a past kit. The main technique here is using crackle glaze. The patterned papers included in the kit were all black and white calligraphy style so I've used black and white paint on the pages to match this.

Basically you paint the tags one colour, leave to dry, then paint with the crackle glaze, leave that to dry then paint a single layer of the other paint colour on the top. You can actually see the crackles forming as the top coat dries. Very satisfying!

Once it's dry, decorate the tags and join together with a book ring.

Phew....at last!

I have been trying to get a header at the top of this blog since the beginning, and now at last and with alot of help from the fantastic Angela and Sharon (thanks so much) it's done. Will replace it soon with a neater version so watch that space (that's the one at the top of the page...Yay!).

Bring me Sunshine

Been playing with a free Digital Scrapbook kit by Dawn Inskip that I got from A Spoonful of Sprinkles. How cheery is this on such a grey day?
DD2 aged 17 months in 2004.

Cheeky !!

Just got home to find this pair! Sometimes I see up to 5 squirrels at a time frolicking in the trees that back onto our garden, but they're usually squabbling. This is the first time I've seen two sharing a space, maybe they're a couple.

Check out my Slide Show!

So Finally It's Happened

I've gotten hang of the internet (I think?) and now I'm blogging.
Might be a little slow to start with as this is totally unfamiliar territory. Been trying to put a nice fancy title at the top of the page but have resorted to an experimental one that just won't shift from the bottom! Hey ho, all in the learning curve eh?
